“It’s been a fabulous fall thus far” for Westridge athletics according to Director of Athletics Melanie Horn. Cross country has hit the ground running with some new runners and freshmen coming on board, and Horn says they’re “really stepping up.” In fact, Katherine N. ‘23 placed first for Westridge last weekend at the Woodbridge Invitational.

Westridge Golf is undefeated in league, and Sarah L. ‘22 recently shot a sizzling 37 down at Brookside—just two strokes shy of the Westridge record.

As for tennis, they’re “crazy on fire,” Horn says. They’re number one in CIF for Division IV right now and have only garnered one loss in league (to Poly) so far.

Volleyball too is starting the school year off right with JV “very strong this year” and varsity “doing incredibly well,” according to Horn. They have already scored victories over Prep and Mayfield with some stunning performances from the varsity team as they dig, spike, and block their way through the season.

“All in all, as far as the fall program goes, it’s been phenomenal,” Coach Horn says. “I’m excited to see what the rest of the fall season looks like and where we end up. I’m very proud of the Tigers.”

With stats like those, Spyglass too must declare, “TIGER PRIDE!”
